HOW TO STAY ORGANIZED FOR LAZY PEOPLE

How many times have you told yourself to stay organized? Whether it’s about your room or work area, It is hard to stay organized, especially when you feel too lazy to do it, and just thinking of all the work that you need to do feels so exhausting already.

You kept on saying later and later until such a time that you could not find things that you needed anymore because of the clutter.

Here are some tips for lazy people to stay organized that work.

1. THROW AWAY THE TRASH

I know it sounds contradictory to the first thing that I said, but hear me out. Throwing away trash can be fun sometimes. I used to treat trash cans as if they were basketball rings, where the trash that I needed to throw away was the ball. I throw them one at a time. And overtime, I can say that I have improved.

Being organized is not just about how you put things that look like on the internet, using clear containers to put your things inside. Organized means being neat and pleasing to the eye. It won’t look pleasing if it is full of garbage, right?

2. PUT AWAY THINGS

Putting away things is not that tiring. You spot a thing that does not belong in that room or place. For example. If you see a used shirt that needs to be washed the next day laying on the floor or on the sofa, pick it up and throw it in the laundry basket.

Make it a habit. That whenever you walk into a room in your home. Before you enter or leave, scan the room and look for an item that does not belong there and put it in the right place.

3. ASSIGN A DESIGNATED AREA FOR EACH ITEM

Every item in your home needs to have its own house too. What do I mean by that?

It means that whatever item that you have must have a place where it belongs. The dirty dishes house, for example, should remain at the sink until they are clean; they will not return to their original hometown to the disk racks.

Another example of this is that a pen should be in the pen holder at all times when not in use.

It is a simple thing to keep in mind. Always ask yourself, “Where is this thing house again?”

4. ORGANIZE AFTER YOU FINISH WORK

After you are done with your work, Always organized

Clean the area, and wipe it if necessary.

Put away the things that you use where they belong.

But if it is so much work from your perspective, and have the feeling of being lazy again. Tell yourself that you will do it for just 10 minutes.

After those 10 minutes and you still want to clean the area since you have started it already, then good for you.

But if not, give yourself a rest and continue it after you rest.

And don’t forget to give yourself a reward if you have successfully finished organizing the place to keep you motivated to do the same next time.
